Vaginal Tightening Surgery in Gurgaon
Vaginoplasty refers to a surgical procedure done to reconstruct the vagina. It is a part of genitoplasty which also includes other procedures like labiaplasty, hymenoplasty. There is also a term called Vaginal rejuvenation which encompasses vaginoplasty (tightening of vagina) and labiaplasty (reshaping of labia). Even with the stigma surrounding the procedure it has seen an unprecedented increase in the recent times. According to the data by ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) this procedure has seen more than 50% increase in the recent times in the last 2-3 years.
Most women coming to a Plastic Surgeon to seek a vaginoplasty do so because they feel that their vagina is very lax and there is decreased sexual pleasure.
For women who’ve experienced multiple childbirths, vaginal muscles tend to experience enlargement due to stressful expansion during the delivery. The result can often be loose, weak, vaginal muscles.
Vaginoplasty, sometimes referred to as rejuvenation of the vagina, is a procedure that can usually correct the problem of stretched vaginal muscles resulting from childbirth(s), and is a direct means of enhancing one’s sexual life once again. The procedure typically tones vaginal muscle, resulting in greater contraction strength and control, thereby permitting greater sensation during sexual experiences.
Not done only for Cosmetic or Functional reasons
A vaginoplasty is also done to correct the congenital defects of the vagina, urethra and rectum. If there are neighboring structures that are protruding into the vagina like the urinary bladder or the rectum the vaginoplasty is a good procedure to put things back in place and tighten the muscles.
It is also performed post trauma to reconstruct the torn parts of the vagina.
What are the Functional benefits
Vaginal plastic surgery, also referred to as vaginal rejuvenation, is comprised of vaginoplasty (tightening of the vagina) and labiaplasty (reshaping of the labia).
There are functional and psychological benefits of this surgery, particularly in increased sexual satisfaction. The conditions treatable by vaginoplasty surgery are:
- Enlarged labia minora
- Enlarged labia majora
- Clitoral hood
- Changes to the labia after childbirth
- Disproportionate prominence of the mons pubis
- Reducing the mons pubis after menopause
Carrying a baby’s weight for nine months during pregnancy and the following child-birth can cause the vaginal walls to become lax and loose. This leads to decrease friction during intercourse which therby can lead to reduced sexual satisfaction. There are also situations in which the scar in the vagina after a childbirth is the constant source of pain, this scar tissue can be removed by a vaginoplasty surgery.
Vaginoplasty surgical procedure
Vaginoplasty is a standard surgical procedure. It tightens vaginal muscles and surrounding soft tissues, by reducing excess vaginal mucosa (vaginal lining). The result is an immediate decrease in the size of vaginal muscles, resulting in more friction during sexual experiences.
After surgery, the patient is usually able to walk comfortably within a few days and may return to sexual activities within 4-6 weeks.
Surgical risks are few, but may include among others: infection, bleeding, and scarring.
The procedure of Vaginal rejuvenation
Vaginal plastic surgery is made up of two main procedures, external and internal.
The external part of the surgery is done to enhance the appearance. This usually involves Labiaplsty which reduces the size of the Labia and reshapes it. It may also involve working on the Mons to decrease the laxity. Childbirth and ageing cause the labia to change its shape and gain laxity while some women may be naturally born with enlarged labia.
The enlargement of labia may lead to discomfort in
- Exercise
- Tight-fitting clothing
- Sexual intercourse
The internal part is done to tighten the muscles, take off the lax and loose tissue of the vagina to increase pleasure during sexual intercourse.
How long is the hospital stay?
These procedures are usually performed in an outpatient setting. The results of a labiaplasty are permanent; however the results of a vaginoplasty are not permanent. Aging and childbearing can change the results obtained after a vaginoplasty and may require further treatment.
Do I really need it?
You may be a candidate for vaginal rejuvenation if:
- You want to enhance the appearance of your genitals
- You feel discomfort or pain due to rubbing and oulling of the labia during sexual intercourse
- You feel conscious in tight fitting clothings
- You have a lax mons pubis
- You feel increasingly dissatified with sexual intercourse due to laxity.
- You have pain during intercourcourse after child birth.
When can I resume normal activities after the surgery?
These procedures are mostly day care and you can go home the same day. Resumption of normal activities is in about a couple of days. However, sexual intercourse is allowed only after about 6 weeks when the tissues have healed.
There are confusions between vaginoplasty and hymenoplasty. Vaginoplasty is the procedure performed in the vaginal canal whereas Hymenoplasty is a procedure for re-virgination or revirginity surgery where the entry of the vaginal canal is reconstructed to a virgin state.
